Vidalytics + Make Integration

The Vidalytics and Make integration lets you connect your video engagement events — Tags and Play Gates — to thousands of other apps and automate workflows without writing any code. When a viewer meets a trigger condition in your video, Make fires the scenario and passes the data to whatever tool you have connected.

Step 1 — Create a New Scenario in Make 

Open Scenarios — in your Make dashboard, click Scenarios in the left panel and click Create a New Scenario.

Add Vidalytics as your trigger — click the + button in the center of the canvas, search for Vidalytics, and select Video Trigger under Searches.

Step 2 — Connect Vidalytics to Make

Set up your connection — if this is your first time connecting Vidalytics to Make, click Add next to the Connections field. Give your connection a meaningful name, click Continue, and log in with your Vidalytics credentials to authenticate.

Step 3 — Configure Your Trigger Settings

Select your tag — under the Tag field, select a tag you have previously created in the Video Settings page of your Vidalytics video. This is the event that will trigger your Make scenario.

Set the scheduling interval — keep the scheduling interval at 15 minutes (the default for free plans).

Click OK to confirm.

Step 4 — Set the Trigger Interval

Open the schedule settings — click the clock icon in the bottom left corner of the Vidalytics module.

Set the frequency — choose At Regular Intervals and confirm the frequency is set to 15 minutes. Click OK.

Click the Vidalytics module again to verify that the scheduling time matches what you just set.

Step 5 — Add Your Action Module and Filter Empty Data

Add your next app — click the + button next to the Vidalytics module and select the app or service you want to trigger when a viewer event fires (your CRM, email platform, Google Sheets, etc.).

Set up a filter to ignore empty data — by default, Vidalytics sends an empty array to Make if no new events were detected since the last poll. To prevent unnecessary scenario runs, set up a filter between the two modules:

1. Click the wrench icon between the Vidalytics module and your action module
2. Select Set Up a Filter and give it a name (e.g., "Ignore Empty Data")
3. In the first field, select Total Number of Bundles
4. In the operator field, choose Greater Than under Numeric Operations
5. In the value field, enter 0

This ensures your action only fires when there is actual viewer data to process.

Step 6 — Test and Activate Your Scenario

Run a test — click Run Once to test the scenario end to end. Watch your video past the tag trigger point to generate an event, then check Make for the result.

Confirm success — if you see green checkmarks on all modules, the setup is working correctly.

Activate scheduling — toggle Scheduling ON in the bottom left corner of the Make canvas to activate your scenario. It will now run automatically every 15 minutes and process any new viewer events.
