How to Set Up the Zapier Integration
How to connect Vidalytics to Zapier and start sending viewer data to your CRM or email platform.
The Vidalytics and Zapier integration lets you connect your video viewer interactions to thousands of tools — CRMs, email platforms, spreadsheets, and more — without any custom code. Once connected, you can trigger automated actions in Zapier based on what happens inside your Vidalytics videos.
Availability & Restrictions
- Marketing integrations (including Zapier) are available on Pro plans and above
- Facebook and Google Manager integrations are available starting on the Starter plan
Step 1 — Enable Zapier in Vidalytics 🛠️
-
Go to your Integrations — in your Vidalytics dashboard, navigate to the Integrations section and locate Zapier.
-
Enable the integration — open the Zapier integration page, scroll down, and click Enable Integration.
That's it for the Vidalytics side. You are now ready to build Zaps triggered by your video events.
Step 2 — Build Your Zap in Zapier
In Zapier, every automation (called a Zap) requires two apps — a trigger app and an action app.
- Trigger app — select Vidalytics as the trigger. Choose which viewer event you want to trigger the Zap from
- Action app — select the CRM, email platform, or tool you want to send the data to (ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Sheets, and thousands more)
Vidalytics Trigger Events
When setting up your Zap, you can choose from the following Vidalytics trigger events:
- Tag event — fires when a viewer reaches a specific point in your video, triggering a timed tag. Use this to segment viewers based on how far they watched and automate follow-ups accordingly
- Play Gate event — fires when a viewer submits their information through a Play Gate on your video. Use this to capture leads and send them directly into your CRM or email list
- Call to Action event — fires when a viewer clicks a CTA button on your video. Use this to identify your most engaged viewers and trigger targeted follow-up sequences
Configure your chosen trigger event in Vidalytics, map the viewer data fields to the corresponding fields in your action app, test your Zap to confirm everything is flowing correctly, then turn it on.

Important: The Zapier connection token has a two-week lifetime. If your Zap has no activity for two weeks, you will need to reconnect your Vidalytics account from within Zapier. You can also manage your active connections at any time from your Zapier account settings.
