Understanding video performance used to mean cross-referencing engagement curves, retention charts, and traffic sources on your own — and still not being sure what to make of it all. Performance Insights changes that.
Vids AI analyzes your video's recent session data and writes a short set of plain-language insight cards directly on your Vid Stats page. You get a clear read on how your video is performing, what shifted compared to the previous week, and which segment, traffic source, or section of the video is behind the result.
Restrictions:
- Performance Insights are available on Pro plans and above
- Insights are generated automatically — there is no button to manually trigger or request them
- A video must have sufficient recent play volume to be eligible. Videos below the threshold will not show insight cards
Plain-Language Insight Cards
Vids AI automatically generates insight cards on the Vid Stats page for eligible videos. Each card explains what is happening with your video in plain English — no interpretation needed. Cards cover three angles:
- Current performance vs. benchmark
- What changed compared to the prior week
- What is working or not working, broken down by segment, traffic source, video section, or setting
Insight Slider
If multiple insights are available, use the insight slider to move through them in sequence. Each card is focused and digestible.
Full Performance Report
Click See Full Report on any insight card to open the complete performance analysis in the Vids AI sidebar, where you can ask follow-up questions in chat or run other Vids AI analyses on the same video — including summary, drop-off audit, trends, segments, benchmark, traffic drill-down, and more.
Per-Insight Feedback
Rate each insight with a thumbs up or down to help the system improve over time. You can also dismiss any card you don't find useful — it won't reappear.
How it Works
Vids AI analyzes the most recent 7-day window of your video's session data — engagement, conversions, segments, and behavior over time — and compares it to the 7 days prior. It then generates a small set of insights explaining what it found.
Insights are stable across visits for a few days, so you'll see consistent cards rather than a new set on every page load.
How to Use It
- Open the Vid Stats page for any eligible video
- If insights are available, they will appear automatically as inline cards — no action needed
- 3. If this is the first time the video is being analyzed, there may be a brief loading moment while Vids AI processes the data — up to about a minute
- 4. Read the insight card and use the
- 5. Click
- 6. Ask follow-up questions in the chat or explore other Vids AI analysis options on the same video.
- 7. Rate the insight with a thumbs up or down, or dismiss the card when you are done
