Vidalytics + HighLevel Integration
How to connect Vidalytics with HighLevel to track viewer interactions and automatically update your CRM contacts.
The Vidalytics and HighLevel integration lets you track exactly how your contacts engage with your videos and automatically update their records in HighLevel — no manual data entry required. Use Play Gates and Tags to capture viewer behavior and trigger automated follow-ups, lead updates, and segmentation directly inside your HighLevel CRM.
Availability & Restrictions
- Available on Pro plans and above
- Interactive Tags are not currently available for this integration — this option is being updated and will be available in a future release
How to Enable the Integration
Go to the Integrations tab — log in to your Vidalytics account and navigate to the Integrations section in your dashboard.
Enable the HighLevel integration — locate HighLevel in the integrations list and enable it. You will be prompted to connect your HighLevel sub-account.
Select a video — choose the video for which you want to set up Play Gates or Tags.
Configure your triggers — set up your Play Gates or Tags by defining the specific conditions and fields you want to track. For example, a tag that fires when a viewer reaches a specific point in the video, or a Play Gate that captures their information before they can continue watching.
Test the integration — watch the video yourself to trigger the configured events, then verify in HighLevel that the contact record has been updated correctly.

How Contact Matching Works in HighLevel
When a viewer interaction is captured in Vidalytics, HighLevel uses the following criteria to match it to an existing contact:
- Email — if an email address is available, HighLevel searches for a matching contact and updates their record
- Phone number — if a phone number is available, HighLevel looks for a matching contact using that number
- Both email and phone — if both are available, HighLevel searches using either field and updates accordingly
- All matching contacts — if multiple contacts match, all of them are updated to maintain consistency
How It Works Inside a HighLevel Funnel
When a contact completes a form inside a HighLevel funnel, their details are automatically stored as a contact in HighLevel. If that same contact later visits a page with a Vidalytics video embedded, any tags triggered by their video interactions are instantly linked to their existing HighLevel contact record — no extra setup needed.
HighLevel stores the contact data in LocalStorage under the _ud key, and any Vidalytics tags triggered during that session are recorded under the same contact automatically.
Play Gates and Tag Tracking
Play Gate submissions — when a viewer submits a Play Gate form, that contact is tagged in HighLevel using the Play Gate name, keeping your tagging consistent across all trigger types.
Play Gate skips — if your Play Gate is set to skippable and a viewer skips it, Vidalytics will still tag that contact in HighLevel (using the Play Gate name) when a HighLevel contact ID is available. This gives you full visibility into how viewers engage with your gated content — whether they submit or skip.
Testing Your Integration
After setting everything up, always test before going live:
- Set up your Tags or Play Gates on your video
- Watch the video and trigger the configured events
- Go to HighLevel and verify that the contact record has been updated correctly
Note: Always test in an incognito window or clear your cache and cookies between tests. This ensures that tags and Play Gates fire correctly each time, as if you were a brand new viewer — rather than being skipped because they already fired in a previous session.
