With the Facebook Pixel integration, the Vidalytics player can send video watch data to your Facebook account. This can then be used to create audiences for Facebook Ads.

Create and install a Facebook Pixel

  1. Log in to your Facebook account, then go to Events Manager.

  2. Click Data Sources and select Web:

3. Add pixel data (name, website URL, etc.) and click Continue.

Once you've created your pixel, you're ready to put the Facebook pixel code on the page where the player is embedded. You can do this manually or use a partner integration (WordPress, Shopify, Google Tag Manager etc.):

Please follow the official Facebook documentation for more details. You can also use these tools to verify that your pixel is working correctly:

Enable Facebook Pixel integration

Enable Facebook Pixel integration in your Vidalytics account and choose what player events you would like to track:

  • Play

  • Pause

  • Pause Percentage

  • Watched Percent (i.e. 25%, 50%, 75%, 99% etc.)

  • Play Gate Submit

IMPORTANT: donโ€™t forget to republish your video after enabling this integration ๐Ÿ™‚

Checking Your Data in Facebook Events Manager

Play the video, then go to Events Manager > Data Sources and verify the player events on Overview tab (please note, that it may take about 15 minutes to see the new events in Events Manager):
