If your updates aren’t visible, a hard refresh might be needed. Here’s how to do it.
If you’ve published changes to your video but don’t see them reflected immediately, your browser may still be caching the old settings. The best way to resolve this is by performing a hard refresh to force your browser to load the most recent version of the page.
What Is a Hard Refresh?
A hard refresh clears the browser’s cache for a specific page, ensuring that the latest version is loaded instead of storing temporary files.
How to Perform a Hard Refresh in Different Browsers
Google Chrome
Windows/Linux:
Hold down Ctrl and press F5
OR, hold down Ctrl and click the reload button
OR, open Chrome Developer Tools (F12), right-click the reload button and choose a hard refresh or clear cache and hard reload
Mac:
Hold Shift and click the reload button
OR, hold Cmd + Shift and press R
Mozilla Firefox
Windows/Linux:
Hold down Ctrl and press F5
OR, hold Ctrl + Shift and press R
Mac:
Hold Shift and click the reload button
OR, hold Cmd + Shift and press R
Internet Explorer
Hold down Ctrl and press F5
OR, hold down Ctrl and click the Refresh button
What If a Hard Refresh Doesn’t Work?
In rare cases, you may still see old settings even after refreshing. Here are additional troubleshooting steps:
Try a Different Browser – Open your page in another browser to check if the changes are visible.
Clear Your Entire Browser Cache – You can do this in your browser’s settings or through Dev Tools (see Chrome instructions for Windows/Linux above).
Restart Your Browser – Closing and reopening the browser can also help clear lingering cached data.
