In some cases you might need to replace the same exact video on several pages. This could be a time consuming effort. That is why we made sure to provide a fast and easy solution for this.

In Vidalytics you can replace one video for another inside of your account and have the new one show up on your site without having to touch your embed code!

To replace a video without having to change the embed code on your site simply follow these steps.

1. Access your Video Settings: Access your video library and select the video in question, click Edit and this will take you to your Video Settings.

2. Access the Video Info Settings: Now that you are at your Video Settings page simply click on the Settings (mesh) icon in the top right corner to access the Video Info Settings.

3. Replace the Video: Click on Replace Video and Select which video you want to replace the current one with and click on "+ Replace Selected Vid With This One".

The replacement process will begin in the background.

And you are done! Make sure you hit the Publish button on your page, and allow up to 15 minutes for your new video to show up on any pages you had the old one embedded.

Your old video will remain in your account, so you can keep its data.

💡 Tip: Make sure your replacement video has all the Video Settings you want before following this process, or go to your replacement video's page and tweak the settings over there and republish after the replacement has taken place.

Note: Replacing a video will not change the title, length, or location in the Vidalytics dashboard- only the video's embed code will change.
