By clicking Ask Vids AI, you’ll get a concise, conversion-focused summary of how your video is performing, along with tactical recommendations tailored to your video type (e.g., VSL, webinar, demo).
You can then ask follow-up questions, get context-aware answers, and use the insights to optimize faster — without manually analyzing dozens of metrics.

How to Use Vids AI
Open Vid Stats for any video in your Vidalytics dashboard.
Click Ask Vids AI in the upper-right corner.
Confirm your video type (first-time only).
Wait for your summary to generate in the sidebar.
Review the insights and recommendations.
Ask follow-up questions to dive deeper into your data.
Rate the response (thumbs up/down) and optionally leave feedback.
Copy any summary or response to share with your team or client.

Key Features
Ask Vids AI Button
Located at the top of the Vid Stats report, the Ask Vids AI button triggers generation of your video’s AI summary.
When clicked, a sidebar panel opens and shows loading feedback while your insights are generated.
Type Confirmation
The first time you use Vids AI for a video, you’ll be prompted to confirm the video type (e.g., VSL, webinar, demo, product walkthrough).
This helps Vids AI tailor its analysis and recommendations more precisely.
Once confirmed, this setting is saved to the video and can be edited later in Vid Settings.
Tailored, Structured Output
Each summary is formatted to show:
Performance overview based on your current stats period
Key takeaways highlighting strong or weak areas
Actionable recommendations mapped to metrics such as Play Rate, Unmute Rate, Watch %, CTA clicks, and Conversions
The result is a short, easy-to-read report built for marketers who want data-driven optimization without digging into spreadsheets.
Conversation Thread
After generating your summary, you can ask follow-up questions in plain language.
Vids AI keeps the conversation context, so you can drill down deeper — for example:
“Why is my Play Rate lower than average?”
“Which part of my video loses the most viewers?”
“How can I improve conversions for this VSL?”
Each response appears in the same sidebar thread, helping you refine your understanding step by step.
Rating & Feedback
After each AI response, you can give a thumbs up or thumbs down and optionally add a short comment.
If you close the sidebar without rating, you’ll be softly prompted to provide feedback first — helping Vidalytics improve the AI experience.
Thread Caching
If you close the sidebar and reopen it later, your previous conversation will reload — as long as you haven’t changed the selected stats period.
This lets you revisit and continue previous threads for the same video and period.
Copy Response
Use the Copy icon to copy any Vids AI message with one click.
You’ll see a quick snackbar confirmation once copied — making it easy to share insights with teammates or clients.
Data Logic & Behavior
Per-Period Storage:
Each summary is saved per video and per stats period. Switching to a new period generates a new summary. Returning to a previous period restores that period’s saved insights.Video Type Dependency:
Insights rely on knowing the correct video type. The app will ask you to confirm the type if it hasn’t been set yet.No Usage Limits (for now):
There are currently no caps on how many times you can use Vids AI, though usage tiers may be introduced later.
Notes:
Video type required: The app will prompt you to confirm this the first time you use Vids AI per video. You can edit it anytime in Vid Settings.
Per-period logic: Insights are specific to the currently selected stats period. Switching periods will generate a fresh summary.
Smart Vids are currently excluded from AI analysis.
No usage limits yet, but this may change in future updates.
