The Period Comparison feature enables users to compare video performance metrics for two distinct periods. This is particularly useful for identifying trends, understanding growth, and optimizing content strategies. The feature offers clear visual and numerical comparisons, highlighting differences in key metrics.

Summary Metrics: Cards display current period data and percentage differences with tooltips for detailed insights.
Graphs and Heatmaps: Visualize data for both periods, with dashed lines indicating the previous period.
Customizable Periods: Select flexible date ranges for both primary and secondary periods.
How to use
Enable Period Comparison: Activate the feature in the Vid Stats page in the Compare menu.
Select the periods: Pick the current time frame in the primary period picker (always visible) and the secondary period to compare with from the comparison period picker (visible only when the feature is enabled).
Analyze Metrics: View the data differences in summary metric cards, on the graphs, heatmaps, and tooltips.
Hover for Details: Hover over summary cards or graph points to see metrics for both periods and the percentage difference.
Note that the comparison period:
Must occur before the primary period.
Defaults to the same duration as the primary period, if possible.
Adjusts automatically to fit within the available date range.

When Period Comparison is active:
The periods can be compared only for the same video.
Segmentation Disabled: Data segmentation options are unavailable.
Video Comparison Disabled: Comparisons between multiple videos cannot be performed.
