In case your video is larger than 8GB you won't be able to upload it to your Vidalytics account. What you can do in this scenario is compress your video for it to be under the 8GB mark.
You can compress your video following these steps.
We use HandBrake to compress our videos. It is open source, so you can get it right now for free.
1. Select the Source Video: Open Handbrake and go to "source" on the top left corner to select the source video. Select the file in your computer and it will be loaded in HandBrake.
2. Select a destination: On your computer (if you don't want to overwrite the original file), make sure you change either the destination file name or folder. This to avoid losing the original video.
3. Compress your video: Finally, select the "Web Optimized" option below "Output Settings". This is pretty much like "Saving for web" in Photoshop, which means it'll make your video smaller so it is more suitable to place on a webpage.
💡 Tip: You can play with a ton more features in HandBrake, but this web optimization should be enough for you to compress your video file a bit and have it ready to upload to your Vidalytics account.
Note: Vidalytics doesn't support or endorses HandBrake in any way, this is simply a free option we recommend. Vidalytics is not responsible for any effect that might happen for using HandBrake.
