In this article, you’ll learn how to configure the available interactive actions within your Smart Vid to control how your viewers move through your video funnel. These actions can be applied to various interactive elements, including Questions, Clickable Areas, and Default Actions at the end of a video step.
Each action allows you to create a more dynamic and conversion-driven video experience, guiding viewers exactly where you want them to go.
Available Interactive Actions
Whether you're adding a Question, a Clickable Area, or defining what happens when a video step ends, these are the actions you can set:
1. Open Video
This action sends the viewer to another step or section within the same Smart Vid.
Use case example: If a viewer selects a specific answer in a Question or clicks on a designated area, you can route them to a tailored video segment that continues their journey.
2. Go to Link
Redirects the viewer to an external URL. This link will open in a new browser tab.
Use case example: Perfect for directing users to a sales page, checkout form, or additional resource after watching part of your video.
3. No Action
As the name suggests, this action does nothing when the viewer interacts with the element.
Use case example: This option is ideal for creating quizzes or tracking answers using tags. You can tag viewers based on their responses without sending them to another video step. It's a great way to keep users on a single video path while still capturing valuable interaction data—perfect for interactive quizzes or segmentation without building additional branches.
4. Replay Video (Default Action Only)
Automatically replays the current video step once it ends.
Use case example: Useful for reinforcing a message or encouraging viewers to rewatch a key section without any further interaction.
5. Display Thumbnail (Default Action Only)
When the video ends, it switches to a thumbnail image instead of progressing or redirecting.
Use case example: This can be used as a pause state or to prompt manual interaction after the step concludes.
