How to Connect Your Shopify Store to Vidalytics
A step-by-step guide to linking your Shopify catalog to Vidalytics so you can create shoppable videos.
This guide walks you through connecting your Shopify store to Vidalytics. Once connected, your entire product catalog becomes available inside your videos — letting you create shoppable experiences that keep viewers engaged without sending them away to a separate product page.
Availability & Restrictions
- Available on Pro plans and above
- Requires a Shopify store with Storefront API access
- You must use your
.myshopify.comdomain to connect — not your custom domain
Step 1 — Open the Shopify Integration in Vidalytics
Go to Integrations — in your Vidalytics account, navigate to the Integrations section, find Shopify, and click on it. A setup page for the Shopify integration will open.
Step 2 — Enter Your Shopify Store Details
You will need two things from your Shopify account: your store domain and your Storefront API token.
Get your Shopify domain
Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Domains. Copy your .myshopify.com domain — this is the one required for the integration.
Note: If your store also has a custom domain (like yourbrand.com), it will appear here too — but you must use the .myshopify.com domain to connect. Once connected, Vidalytics will automatically use your custom domain when displaying products if one is available.
Get your Storefront API token
- In your Shopify store, find and install the Headless app
- After installation, create a Storefront
- Open the newly created Storefront and go to Settings → Storefront API
- Locate the Private Access Token field and copy it
Enter your details in Vidalytics
Paste your .myshopify.com domain and your Private Access Token into the Shopify integration form in Vidalytics and click Enable Integration.
Step 3 — Confirm the Connection and Add Products
Once connected, you will see a confirmation message:
"Your Shopify store is now connected to Vidalytics. You can start embedding videos and exploring the power of shoppable videos for your business."
Add products to your video — go to your video's Vid Settings, open the Marketing tab, and click E-Commerce → Add Product. Your full Shopify product catalog will now be available to add directly into your video.
Tip: Start by adding products at the highest-intent moments in your video — right when you are showcasing the product or making your pitch. This is where shoppable overlays have the biggest impact on conversions.
