Use Vidalytics with LTV Numbers to connect video engagement with downstream revenue attribution. When a visitor watches a Vidalytics video and later completes a purchase, LTV Numbers sends that conversion back to Vidalytics β so you can see exactly which videos are driving sales.
Overview
This integration is designed for customers who want to understand which videos are contributing to revenue. At a high level, here is how it works:
A visitor lands on a page with a Vidalytics video.
Vidalytics generates a session ID and appends it to the page URL as the c5 parameter.
The LTV Numbers passthrough script preserves the C5 value across outbound links, such as checkout links.
The CRM or checkout platform includes the same C5 value with the order data it sends to LTV Numbers.
LTV Numbers uses that session ID to look up the videos tied to the visit, then posts the conversion data back to Vidalytics.
This allows Vidalytics to attribute revenue back to the videos that were watched in that session.
Before You Start
A Vidalytics account with access to Integrations.
An active LTV Numbers account.
Your landing page must include both the Vidalytics embed and the LTV Numbers URL parameter passthrough script.
Your checkout or CRM flow must preserve the C5 parameter and pass it to LTV Numbers.
The sessionId and orderValue fields are required when submitting a conversion.
Setup
Step 1: Generate Your API Key in Vidalytics
In Vidalytics, go to Integrations.
Open LTV Numbers.
Click Enable Integration to generate your API key.
Copy the API key β you will need it in the next step.
Note: If you regenerate the API key later, the previous key is invalidated immediately.
Step 2: Add the API Key in LTV Numbers
Log in to your LTV Numbers dashboard.
Open the Vidalytics integration settings.
Paste the API key you generated in Vidalytics.
Save the integration.
LTV Numbers validates the key during setup. Once accepted, the integration is active.
Step 3: Install the Passthrough Script on Your Landing Page
Install the LTV Numbers URL parameter passthrough script on every landing page where you embed Vidalytics videos and drive traffic to checkout. This script is responsible for carrying the c5 session value across outbound links so the order can be tied back to the original video session.
Make sure the checkout link includes the c5 parameter and that your CRM or checkout platform passes it through with every order. Here is an example of the full flow:
A visitor lands on a page with a Vidalytics video.
Vidalytics appends ?c5=<sessionId> to the URL.
The visitor clicks through to checkout.
The checkout or CRM receives the same c5 value with the order.
LTV Numbers uses that value to connect the conversion back to the original video session.
How Revenue Attribution Works
Once setup is complete, the runtime flow looks like this:
β
1. A visitor loads a landing page containing a Vidalytics video.
2. Vidalytics generates a session ID.
3. Vidalytics injects that session ID into the page URL as `c5`.
4. The LTV Numbers passthrough script propagates `c5` onto outbound links, including checkout links.
5. The visitor watches one or more videos and then completes a purchase.
6. The CRM sends the order data, including `c5`, to LTV Numbers.
7. LTV Numbers calls Vidalytics to retrieve the videos associated with that session.
8. LTV Numbers posts the conversion details back to Vidalytics.
9. Vidalytics attributes the conversion and revenue to the video session.

Important Notes
All videos on a landing page share the same session, so a single session can be associated with multiple videos.
If no API key exists yet, the integration is not active.
Deleting the API key immediately disables future calls from LTV Numbers.
Regenerating the API key immediately invalidates the previous key.
The final conversion webhook body is still pending confirmation from LTV Numbers.
